Ingredients
- 10–12 fresh jalapeños
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8–10 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Optional: chopped green onions or chives
Instructions
- Prep the jalapeños
- Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise
- Remove seeds and membranes (this controls the heat—leave some if you want it spicier)
- Make the filling
- In a bowl, mix:
- Cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Crumbled bacon
- Garlic powder & onion powder
- Stir until smooth and well combined
- In a bowl, mix:
- Stuff them
- Spoon the mixture into each jalapeño half
- Don’t overfill—just enough to mound slightly
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Place jalapeños on a lined baking sheet
