Easy Fried Noodles Recipe – Quick, Delicious Homemade Comfort Meal
Ingredients
- 8 oz chow fun or chow mein noodles (optional: spaghetti or ramen noodles)
- 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ onion, sliced thin
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- ½ cup carrots, julienned
- ½ cup cooked chicken, pork, or spam (optional, sliced)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2–3 tbsp water (or broth)
Instructions
- Cook noodles
Boil noodles until just tender. Drain and set aside (don’t overcook). - Stir-fry aromatics
Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion, cook until fragrant. - Add veggies & protein
Toss in cabbage, carrots, and your protein (if using). Stir-fry 2–3 minutes. - Add noodles & sauce
Add noodles to the pan. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, pepper, and water. Toss everything together well. - Finish
Cook another 2–3 minutes until noodles absorb sauce. Drizzle sesame oil at the end and mix.
